Hi,

Can you please add an option where we can send the installation details to a different email recipient, on a per-install basis?

We often need to install scripts on our client's behalf and I think it would be better if there's a extra box on the script installer screen where we can specify who should get a notification about the installation, containing the installed URL, admin URL, admin username, admin password & admin email address.

Hi,

In the Softaculous Dock click on the Email Icon.
There you will find an option to change all email preferences of a user including Installation Emails.

Yes, I know that option is there, but that's not what I'm suggesting. I'm suggesting another option where we can fill in a another email address and have that particular install's details sent to a different recipient than that in the settings.

Will be done in 2.2 / 2.3.
Mostly 2.2 as we are now working 2.2 to make all the features we promised for 2.1 into it.

I want to request this feature again.

Today one of our staff had to install Joomla on a client's account, and needed the installation info to be emailed to the web master, which is a different person from the owner of the website.

All I'm asking, is to put another form field on the installation page, just above the "Submit" button where we can fill in which email destination the installation details (I.e. host, server path, installed application & version, administrative login URL & username & password, database name, database user & database password, etc) can be emailed to.

It's a real pain in the neck to change it on the email preference, install the app, and then change the email preferences back to the owner.


In fact, if the owner was notified of the installation, like he is already, as well as the "optional contact" then they both have the info at hand.

I found this one of the most useful features on Fantastico, and miss it most as well. So, please re-consider adding this.

I am extremely sorry for not having this implemented by now.
I am adding this in 2.7 for sure.
